The first part is quick and then your rate of weight loss will slow as you have less fat to lose.
This is when most people get frustrated & give up or drop their calories really low.
Don’t change anything. Just keep going.
You have to live your life WHILE you lose fat.
You can’t put life on pause while you do it (nor would you want to). Stop waiting for the right time, there isn’t one & it’s not going to be easier tomorrow, next week or in a month.
Commit to the end goal FULLY.
Once you do this you stop seeing inevitable bumps in the road as failures and reasons to give up. You accept them as lessons (even if frustrating lessons) and keep going.
Impatience is universal.
Everyone wants to reach their goals sooner. The difference between people who achieve their goals and people who give up because they lack patience isn’t that the former are immune to the feeling of impatience. It’s that they feel it & choose not to act on it.
Knowing what to do is not the hard part.
I’ve been a coach for 11 years, I’ve helped over 8,000 people lose fat. I know exactly WHAT to do. That doesn’t make me immune from getting in my own head and questioning things.
That’s why I had a coach help me.
Accountability, support & most importantly perspective/ an external & rational view is so valuable. Otherwise the journey feels pretty lonely.
Bonus: it’s meant to be fun. Stop telling yourself fat loss is a SHLOG or it will be. Start getting excited about hard and challenging things. Sure, it requires a lot of effort to get in shape. That’s part of the fun of it. Embrace it!
