You know that quote:
’Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.’
Yeah, that’s bullshit.
My deepest fear is not making the most out of life, not meeting my potential, not having enough fun, taking enough risks,
My deepest fear is that I waste my life by not living it to the fullest.
It should be everyone’s biggest fear - death isn’t the scary part and even if it is.. that is inevitable.
Never having lived is the scary part…. And that we can change.
So many of us spend our lives consumed by what other people might think & their (often completely imagined) judgement.
We are paralysed by other people’s opinions.
I am not saying don’t care about these things - that is unrealistic.
I am saying don’t let it stop you living your life on your terms and following your passions.
Stop waiting for the right moment.
Let the fear of regret drive you more than the fear you feel about taking the risk to try something new.
Push yourself outside your comfort zone.
Stop wasting your time looking for reasons to justify staying where you are.
Life is short.
If you don’t like something, change it.
It’s easy to convince yourself that you just want the mediocre life. But if you’re here reading this, the likelihood is you don’t.
It just feels safe.
You get one life.
Your move.

I'm in a similar boat where I fear wasting my time on something the ends up making little to no difference. How can I know I'm pursuing something that is making an impact? That's why seeking wisdom and counsel is so important, personally.
