What if I told you there was a simple way to enjoy your favourite things more & it will save you money too…
If you want to enjoy something more, have it less.
I was looking over a client’s food intake this weekend.
She was struggling to manage calories and get the fat loss results she was looking for.
This clients food choices were, of course (she works with me), very good.
The main issue was alcohol & chocolate every night.
& sure, you can have wine and chocolate every night and still lose weight but here is why you might chose not to.
As much as calories matter for fat loss, what you eat matters too. Largely because it impacts how easy it is to stick to those calories.
1600 can be a tonne of food and very satiating or 1600 can be very little food and leave you really hungry.
This depends on your food choices.
The inclusion of ‘treat/ junk’ food has been encouraged by the more flexible dieting side of the fitness industry for years.
‘Look I can eat McDonald’s and pop tarts and lose weight’
I am all for flexibility… BUT you will enjoy wine and chocolate MORE if you don’t have it every day.
Can you eat it daily? yes.
Should you? Up to you to decide.
My argument here is if you have it once or twice a week it becomes a treat, something you look forward to and something you enjoy rather than the norm.
Restricting something increases the enjoyment of it.
This seems paradoxical but:
If you want to enjoy something more, have it less.
(& bonus: it will help you reach your goals)
